Jeremy Hunt unveils plans for a new London Biennale

The London Olympics 2012 have just ended and the capital of the UK is serious about maintaining its status with a great new event. During a speech held at the Tate Modern Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt, has revealed the secret plans for a new two-year Art Biennial in London. This new biennial art should be the extension of the London 2012 festival, cultural event created to accompany the Olympic Games which saw an unprecedented success. It is estimated that the London 2012 Festival has reached a record of attendance, 10 million people for a festival that will close the next month. Of course the bulk of the visitors was gleaned through the Olympics but also exhibitions around London, such as David Hockney and Damien Hirst, have played their part since they have been seen by 2.5 million people. The Mayor Boris Johnson said he’s glad to hear of an evolution of the festival in the future. So even in an economic crisis, the United Kingdom relies on culture to revive the royal funds.
